My 'To Read' List

by - September 05, 2018

Having spent what can only be described as years upon years of only reading textbooks and revision guides, the end of exams also signalled the return to reading for fun?!? What a strange concept, but it is one that has most definitely been welcomed.

Before a life of revision took hold I had been an avid book reader and a huge fan of reading, however, school did get in the way of this, but now I have once again found my love of reading returning and I have been devouring my way through books. For that reason, I thought it would be nice for you to see what's on my 'To Read' list and you may find something that you also fancy reading.

From top to bottom...
1. The Sky is Everywhere - Jandy Nelson
2. As Good as it Gets? - Fiona Gibson
3. Girlhood - Cat Clarke
4. One of us is Lying - Karen M McManus
5. Letters to the Lost -
6. It Only Happens in the Movies - Holly Bourne
7. The Sun is also a Star - Nicola Yoon

8. The Diary of a Young Girl - Anne Frank
9. Kiss Heaven Goodbye - Tasmina Perry
10. Beneath the Skin - Caroline England
11. Trust Me - Zosia Wand

I also have a huge pile of classics that I would love to get through, mainly due to the fact that as I am hoping to study Literature at uni I feel it can't be harmful to get a headstart on some of the books I could be studying.

12. To the Lighthouse - Virginia Woolf
13. Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen
14. The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
15. Persuasion - Jane Austen
16. Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens
17. Mrs Dalloway - Virginia Woolf
18. Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
19. Emma - Jane Austen

As you can see, I have a fair amount of books that I want to work my way through across the summer. As I'm writing this I've read 9 on this list. I have about 3 weeks left of summer so I'm hoping to get through a few more on the list.

What's on your 'To Read' list? I'm always looking for recommendations!
